Vendor of the Month – Stephen Charles Photography
I have had the pleasure of working with Stephen Charles Photography on multiple occasions now and the results are always the same. Awesome!
At JPod Productions, I really look for three qualities in the photographer that I am teamed up with at each wedding. First, I prefer someone who is unobtrusive in his/her own right, but understands how each of us needs to get our shots and works with my team to get that accomplished. I have worked with four different shooters on Dan & Jen’s (owners) team at one point or another and they fully “get it” when it comes to unobtrusiveness and logistics. They have three people on site sometimes and you’d never know it.
Secondly, I always value a photographer that captures more than the standard shots. Yes, the formals will be there, as well as some of the traditional bride and groom shots. But, Stephen Charles Photography always puts their brides and grooms in different settings that make each and every wedding unique. Even at the same reception site, their pictures do not look like carbon copies from one wedding to the next. They utilize the foreground, the background and intimate details throughout their collection of photos and that has a positive impact on the video as well. (Hands down, my favorite quality of SCP!)
Thirdly, I always hope the vendors I work with are easy to communicate with and have great personalities. Dan, Jen and their staff easily fulfill this quality on my wish list, as they are enjoyable to be around all day and like I said, they just “get it”.
